Hi.

If anyone needs it, DEB package version 2.8 is available via iriun.com. Much like with 2.7 was, by updating the version and MD5 in PKGBUILD, does the trick.

... pkgver=2.8 ... md5sums=('2189bd94c45cdf61ce51c2acd3357911')

Good luck, and thanks again @berfin & @DanielH.

Can't build the package.

First of all there is wrong md5sums. Secondary data directory is absent in the package so I get this error:

tar: ///iriunwebcam-bin/src/data.tar.xz: Cannot open: No such file or directory tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

Good afternoon, I'm new to the community and I'm having problems after the installation, the irium opens but the following error appears: "sudo modprobe v2l2loopback exclusive_caps=1"

Hello. Thank you DanielH for maintaining this package. A few days ago, just as they said, the deb package was updated to 2.7.

Simply updating the version in PKGBUILD, as well as the MD5 checksum of the deb file, worked like a charm. Good luck. :)

Reply from Iriun developer (I've asked him/her for an update of iriunwebcam to v.2.7 for GNU/Linux): "Hi, Thank you for the feedback. v2.6 is the latest version for Linux. v2.7 requires some work and it's schedule is still open, during this summer anyway. Best Regards, Iriun Support"

@Andy123Andy1:

iriunwebcam v2.7.2 is only available for Windows systems as an .exe, and v2.7.3 for Mac as a .pkg.

Sadly, iriun is NOT free nor open software (and there is no notice about its licences), its sources are not available; so its very difficult (and illegal) to take an .exe or .pkg, decompile and recompile for Linux.

The 2.6 .deb package is available only from main page of iriun site, it was be prepared by iriun developer, see https://iriun.gitlab.io/iriunwebcam-2.6.deb

So please, unflag this package as out-of-date, unless you can contribute to solve this issue (which is out of my knowledge). Thanks you.

Just pushed a new PKGBUILD. I had to modify some of DanielH's changes, since it was actually downloading v2.3 (the default source for http://iriun.gitlab.io/iriunwebcam.deb is 2.3), but everything else seems to be working.
