I'm trying to connect 2 phones as webcams through iriunwebcam. but it just randomly grabs one of the two phones and doesn't try to grab the other one.
I have also loaded 2 v4l2looback devices and the show up as
/dev/video0
and/dev/video1
.sudo modprobe v4l2loopback devices=2 card_label="Iriun Webcam #1","Iriun Webcam #2"
I've tried running a 2nd instance of iriunwebcam. but it exits immediately after running.
Is there something else to do?

Problem solved: "inspecting the problem a bit, it seems that iriunwebcam fails to detect the camera unless the loopback device is labeled
Iriun Webcam
. So besides setting theexclusive_flags
(which is actually not required by iriunwebcam, but i guess it is provided as a courtesy for people who want to use the loopback-device in their browser), you really must set thecard_label="Iriun Webcam"

Hello, miss_barfin!
I've installed iriunwebcam-bin 2.1-1 a couple of month ago.It used to work very well with two LG phones (M250 and M700 models).
I've installed v4l2loopback-dkms-git 0.12.4.r0.g9bd5553-1 to satisfy iriunwebcam-bin dependencies; bluez and qt5-base are installed in my system too (I'm using LXQt DE).
Now, after last kernel update to linux 5.7.5.arch1-1, iriunwebcam cann't connect to my phones by means wifi nor by USB cable. iriunwebcam window in PC shows a message: "Initialization failed. You may want to run: sudo modprobe v4l2loopback exclusive_caps=1". But executing iriunwebcam after sudo modprobe v4l2loopback exclusive_caps=1 doesn't solve this issue.
In the other hand, /etc/modprobe.d/iriunwebcam-options.conf has only one line: options v4l2loopback exclusive_caps=1 devices=1 card_label="Iriun Webcam","Iriun Webcam #2","Iriun Webcam #3","Iriun Webcam #4" So "v4l2loopback exclusive_caps=1" option is just included in iriun configuration...
I've tried, after reboot, reinstalling v4l2loopback-dkms-git and iriunwebcam-bin but issue is not solved, although v4l2loopback dkms module is deleted and installed again.
Your help will be welcome! Best regards, DanielH

Hello, I tried to install it but the MD5SUM does not validate. Manually downloading and checking show different value :
~ tmp $ file iriunwebcam.deb iriunwebcam.deb: Debian binary package (format 2.0), with control.tar.xz, data compression xz ~ tmp $ md5sum iriunwebcam.deb b7c50305187cd5a9dfd75fbedfd0cfb1 iriunwebcam.deb
Not sure why it changed, because there is no version control available to avoid this kind of change.« First ‹ Previous 1 2 3 4
