@graysky @zerophase Thank you for advises. I tried 5.1.8-arch, and updated bios(my laptop model is ThinkPad T430u, bios is updated to Version: H6ETA0WW 2.18 Release Date: 06/01/2018), neither working.

@graysky The version from the aur seems to have that feature disabled by default.

@gee - I try to keep linux-ck as close to the official ARCH kernel as I can. I do not know what negative effect changing that parameter might have for other users. Recommend you build from the AUR yourself modifying it as you see fit.

Hello again,

I'll retry my last request in an easier way if you don't mind graysky.

Would you mind using 'N' for Linux kconfig's RAID6_PQ_BENCHMARK? I have not been able to find a way to do so without altering the kconfig file yet, and since I grab the kernels from your repos, it wouldn't work that way.

Setting it to 'N' save a few seconds on boot time, which I think is quite nice.

zerophase commented on 2019-06-14 17:38 (UTC)

@freenestor if that does not work try updating your bios / uefi. I would also post more system specs. As a last, resort you could try doing a clean install just to rule out configs breaking from waiting awhile to upgrade.

I think the issue probably has something to do with the motherboard, though. If nothing works try to use the warranty for a replacement. A new version of the same mobo might just work.

@freenestor - can you boot 5.1.x-arch without the parameter? Rule out ck1 patchset as the cause in other words.

freenestor commented on 2019-06-14 05:56 (UTC)

I cannot boot linux-ck 5.1.x without nolapic kernel parameter, and with nolapic parameter the performance is worse. I can boot linux-ck 4.19.x normally. Can anyone give some advises?

@ismet - Something happened with the rsync mirror. Fixing now, please try in 5 min or so.

Hey graysky, pre-compiled linux-ck-zen package cannot be downloaded from repo-ck repositories.

error: failed retrieving file 'linux-ck-zen-5.1.9-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst' from repo-ck.com : The requested URL returned error: 404

Shame. Seems like a useful option.
