see this line -> -=- kernel /boot/vmlinuz-linux root=UUID=3f92645f-7064-41bb-a033-53c4339f7195 resume=UUID=38df3f39-8626-4976-9365-0f0b7ff22908 pcie_aspm=force i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 i915.i915_enable_fbc=1 i915.lvds_downclock=1 ro initrd /boot/initramfs-linux-lqx.img -=- it says to boot vmlinuz-linux(which is your stock kernel),as opposed to vmlinuz-linux-lqx(which is linux-lqx) Can you edit your /boot/grub/menu.lst(_only the LQX section_) so it becomes like this(you can copy&paste actually, but remove the old entries if you do): # (0) Arch Linux title Arch Linux LQX kernel root (hd0,5) kernel /vmlinuz-linux-lqx root=/dev/sda6 fastboot resume=/dev/sda5 pcie_aspm=force i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 i915.i915_enable_fbc=1 i915.lvds_downclock=1 ro initrd /initramfs-linux-lqx.img

Can post your /boot/grub/menu.lst or at least the LQX section?

<deleted-account> commented on 2012-05-10 11:07 (UTC)

nope, i tried but it still can't find the devices

Maybe the same problem: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=140676

I'm out of ideas. I had that same problem back when 3.2 was out and solved it with the fastboot option. It was not related specifically to linux-lqx,though...(linux-ck for example too was droppin' me to a shell)

@shivik I tried but it still can't find the device :/
