@linuxninja that is a great suggestion, thanks for the idea! It will definitely be added in with the next batch of improvements

I have a suggestion. For systems where the environment variable EDITOR is set, honor what it is set to, otherwise, use a sane default that can be overridden in the settings.

Typically, the default EDITOR variable would be set in /etc/environment for system-wide settings, or ~/.profile for user-specific settings.

Now that 'base' no longer includes an editor, I'm not sure what procedure to use to find a default editor on a system.

Thanks for the update.

Hi @linuxninja, thanks for bringing that up. I just pushed up a new version that does not depend on nano, and instead requires vim like the previous version did

I noticed you added a required dependency on 'nano' in this release. Is there a reason it is 'required'? I have a security need to disallow the installation of 'nano' on any system, so that breaks this package.

Can you please confirm that your listed required dependencies are actually required, and if not, please move them to optional? Thanks!

Sorry about that, and thanks for letting me know; just updated the pkgbuild and everything should be working okay now
