Without autoconf and automake package you probably will not be able to build that package since it require autoreconf and aclocal during the build. What about adding it as a dependencies?

Yup, I re-uploaded an old version... Also, I forked this to create mbm-gpsd-pl4nkton-git [0], based on the fork you mentioned. I didn't get to test it yet, but there you go. [0] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mbm-gpsd-pl4nkton-git/

Line 51 needs to be replaced with ' cd ${srcdir}/${_gitname}-build' for the package to build on an up-to-date Arch system. I've revamped the entire package to meet current packaging standards here: https://gist.github.com/Freso/9d585a1faa0d6592a328 (there's a diff below the PKGBUILD file). I also commented out the `unset`'s and added in `$CFLAGS` in the `make` call in `build()`. Any reason they were `unset` other than the `make` call? I haven't experienced anything odd (yet).
