archlinux is currently affected by a blackscreen bug due to mesa 23.1. It is still unclear if this is a mesa or a game bug.

Please read here how to workaround this problem https://github.com/minecraft-linux/mcpelauncher-client/issues/66#issuecomment-1563349236 without downgrading mesa to 23.0.

I added a mirror as workaround, so this should work now. No need to force http1.1.

@CyberShadow I'm actually getting a completely different issue. I'll see if I can fix that so I can get your error.

CyberShadow commented on 2021-06-05 19:52 (UTC)

Seems to fail with clang-11: error: unsupported option '-print-multi-os-directory'

@swinny89 this appears to be an issue upstream: https://github.com/minecraft-linux/mcpelauncher-manifest/issues/488

Older MC versions work, but newer ones don't.

@swinny89 the crash is "expected" of sorts. In order to run the command, you have to point it to the location of the storage and extracted application. An example command would look like this: mcpelauncher-client -dd .local/share/mcpelauncher/ -dg .local/share/mcpelauncher/versions/1.16.210.05/

You may want to just use the mcpelauncher-ui to download the files as I have no clue how to do it without. As for the qt5-webengine and the mcpelaunder-server issues, I'll go ahead and fix that.

Thanks!

Do you have any ideas on what I can do about it?

Also, I see that this package says it provides mcpelaunder-server, but I don't see that available.

Can you add qt5-webengine as a dependency? Build failed without it.

Change "previous maintainer" to contributor and move yourself to top.
