This package no longer compiles after the last perl update. To build I had to downgrade to http://arm.konnichi.com/core/os/x86_64/perl-5.16.3-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz . # last few lines of the compile installing man1/cms.1 cms.pod around line 457: Expected text after =item, not a number cms.pod around line 461: Expected text after =item, not a number cms.pod around line 465: Expected text after =item, not a number cms.pod around line 470: Expected text after =item, not a number cms.pod around line 474: Expected text after =item, not a number POD document had syntax errors at /usr/bin/core_perl/pod2man line 71. make: *** [install_docs] Error 1 ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package(). I've been having some problems accessing openssl.org today. Maybe that's due to my provider or there is some actual problem with that side. Either way, if you can't download from openssl, try downloading from Gentoo's distfiles: http://distfiles.gentoo.org/distfiles/openssl-1.0.1e.tar.gz

this one fails if you have MAKEFLAGS="-jX" in /etc/makepkg.conf
