@HisDudeness: unfortunately I can't access that site either, it seems that the author removed permissions to that site, and looking to other themes related (Mint-X) I can't decide which one to use instead and many of them aren't updated at all (the most "recent" one was updated 3 years ago), so I guess I'll be removing that particular theme in another update.
I'm so sorry for Openbox but there is not much I can do on that part

makepkg can't download http://box-look.org/CONTENT/content-files/152051-newmint.7z. If I open the link in my browser, box-look.org tells me "You have no authorisation for this page".

Greetings, I'll be adopting the package to check new versions, because of my work and studies I can't promise to keep it updated as soon as possible, but when possible I may work on the PKGBUILD and check if something is needed or not

I disown this package because I don't use it anymore.

The mint package has been already updated.
Now it's mint-themes-gtk3_3.18+4.tar.xz and the sha256sum is b7991cd544d09a2d9604fca33f9623e3b74f18f23dfe9beee4c07a41cf42950a

@carlwgeorge Ah, yes, now I see. So basically we're waiting for Mint to catch up.

@muvvenby The gtk3 components have their own version of 3.18+3. I'm guessing that this means that the Mint project is only building and testing this theme against gtk 3.18.

Thanks for working on this theme, I _do_ use it :-)
I just updated mint-x-icons and mint-x-theme on my install and the GTK 3.20 incompatibility is not fixed for me. Am I missing something?
SunRed commented on 2016-05-11 13:41 (UTC)
@carlwgeorge I also don't use them anymore but had mint-themes still installed and saw it was orphaned and had to be updated. So I fixed this and saw you already provide this package in a better way. Although mint-themes exists longer 'mint-x-theme(s)' actually makes more sense since we are merging two packages providing the Mint-X themes. Also it fits better with mint-x-icons.
I could orphan mint-themes now again but it should be deleted anyway soon.
I will edit the Cinnamon page to refer to this package rather than mint-themes.

@rellieberman: Greetings, this is due to the new "Styles" option that Cinnamon itself has implemented, but to make it possible you have one out of 2 options:
In both cases you must have a matching/defined GTK theme, a Cinnamon theme and a cursor theme, if you don't fulfill the three conditions, then the "simplified way" won't appear at all.
Thus, the reason of why this package was created and you can use it to bring at least the Cinnamon mint themes, regarding other combinations, keep in mind that it either depends on upstream available options or I could go on myself and create one and make it available (which I cannot promise due to time issues IRL, also I had a hard time understanding the syntax required).
You can check how Styles works in Linux Mint April news
