This package replaces the previous 'mythtv' AUR package. It has been renamed to comply with Arch's VCS package guidelines.

I hope to update the various mythplugins AUR packages soon

@mark.clegg: Have you read the pinned comment and tried recompiling?

Since the upgrade to qt5-5.14, my frontend has displayed a big white rectangle covering the top 3/4 of the myth window when exiting a recording/video playback, and also in some of the menus. Once it's appeared, the only way to get rid is to exit the frontend and restart. The rectangle seems to be part of myth (ie, not another application) Downgrading qt back to 5.13 resolves the issue. (qt5-base, qt5-declarative, qt5-location, qt5-script, qt5-sensors, qt5-webchannel, qt5-xmlpatterns, (and qt5-webkit from 5.212.0alpha3-8 -> alpha3-6) Anybody else seeing this?

I could resolve my previous issues with killing the backend when running livetv which were of a different problem. @Taijian: Is it possible to update the package to 30-fixes? So far I am modifying your PKGBUILD in order to use https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/archive/fixes/30.tar.gz instead of 30.0-nofixes with cheerypicked patches.

boomshalek, I'm not having the issue you are having, but maybe this is relevant:

https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-20261

If so, you could try downgrading MariaDB to 10.3, though that might be a bit of a pain, depending on what else you have running on your Myth backend. Sorry I can't help much more.

I recompiled. As soon as I start LiveTV the backend somehow manages to kill the mariadb-server. WTH?! I tried to revert to older verstions but the problem persists. Can someone confirm this problem or is it just my system?

Been seeing a lot of this in my logs recently:

mythpreviewgen[]: OMX: OMX_Init error OMX_ErrorInsufficientResources mythpreviewgen[]: OMX:0 Invalid OpenMAX context

OpenMax is ARM/RPi specific technology, so I just added a --disable-openmax in the configure stanza. Warnings are now gone.

I don't think these warnings were operation-affecting in any way, but they were n the way from me tracking down other unrelated stuff.
