Maybe something put in the profile in
~/.local
or~/.cache
linked to netflix or libelectron?jrd commented on 2024-05-31 14:44 (UTC)
Same result when reinstalling
npm
and rebuildinglibelectron

It doesn't have anything to do with Manjaro since I am on Manjaro and unable to reproduce the issue on Gnome or xfce4
Try removing and reinstalling npm next

I’m also under Manjaro (stable), so some packages may be lacking behind Arch packages.
my npm version is
10.8.0
my node version is22.2.0
I didn’t try to use
nvm
and another node version.I have other computers (under Manjaro stable, or testing, all with Xfce4) where I can test it too.
[Edit] Same result with node 20 or 21

Hmm that defiantly isn't right, it shouldn't be crashing when maximizing on XFCE4, I can confirm this shouldn't happen on my Raspberry pi 5 or server running XFCE4 tho I am running Manjaro.
What version is your npm?
Have you got another device with xfce4 you can test?

Same problem for me: Core dump, segmentation fault.
Sometimes if I run the libelectron binary with
strace
it works, sometimes not.I edited
/opt/Netflix/main.js
and find out that if I comment the line for maximizing the application (mainWindow.maximize()
) it starts correctly. Then if I try to maximize using my desktop environement (Xfce), it crashes.gameslayer commented on 2024-05-31 07:16 (UTC)
Don't think it has anything to do with Endeavour OS, try completely removing Netflix and libelectron and clear your cache then try it again also make sure your system is up to date.

@gameslayer, sorry this didn't help. Also on Arch was on Endeavour OS, I see the same error message. I have plasma 6 with xorg and wayland installed.
