I had a couple of problems but help arrived and all is good, only did :
- Uninstalled these packages : sudo pacman -R nvidia-470xx-utils nvidia-470xx-dkms nvidia-470xx-settings
- In terminal entered : git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/nvidia-470xx-utils.git
- Changed directory : cd nvidia-470xx-utils/
- Downloaded patch : curl -o PKGBUILD.diff http://ix.io/4zP5
- Applied the patch : git apply -v PKGBUILD.diff
- Made package anew : makepkg -rsi
Reboot and was able to upgrade to 6.4.3-arch-1

Thanks, that worked. Still a lot of things to learn...

@Mainframe, you need to install both nvidia-470xx-utils and nvidia-470xx-dkms in the same command.

Hi, after preparing everything as descripted and trying to install via 'pacman -U' I get the following error:
warning: cannot resolve "nvidia-470xx-utils=470.199.02", a dependency of "nvidia-470xx-dkms"
:: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
nvidia-470xx-dkms
What am I doing wrong?
camio commented on 2023-07-11 13:26 (UTC)
I forked this repository and patched it to use the latest driver version. That fixed all my display issues.
If you want to use it while we wait for a new maintainer, clone https://github.com/camio/nvidia-470xx-utils and use makepkg as normal.

For the beginners in need of assistance, first take a look at this recommended guide https://github.com/korvahannu/arch-nvidia-drivers-installation-guide - maybe it helps to solve the issues your are having with this version of the driver.
