@Bohdanator you need to install both packages at the same time with 'pacman -U'.

Doesn't work on my GT 420M...

Oops...

I had — anyway, I uninstalled all nvidia-* packages, rebooted and reinstalled them; now it works again. Thanks still!

That's not an error output, its's just a part of the make script and you can ignore it. Did you updated nvidia-beta-utils too? You must have both, nvidia-beta and nvidia-beta-utils in the same version.

Cannot properly build the new version: NVIDIA: calling KBUILD... test -e include/generated/autoconf.h -a -e include/config/auto.conf || ( \ echo; \ echo " ERROR: Kernel configuration is invalid."; \ echo " include/generated/autoconf.h or include/config/auto.conf are missing.";\ echo " Run 'make oldconfig && make prepare' on kernel src to fix it."; \ echo; \ /bin/false) Unfortunately it still continued to install, which at the next boot caused the kernel module to display that it was for the previous version and apparently delete itself (anyway, it doesn't load anymore). I'm using the standard kernel. Does anybody else have this problem?

Ah, thanks for reminding me. Removed.

Yeah, and ProgDan, as I said before, the "|| return 1" checks are obsolete/redundant since pacman 3.4.

Difficult to say, not a Nvidia developer. But since it's been reported that 260.19.12 didn't work for the GF 4*0M users I'm pretty sure the next beta will (but that's just me).

Wondering when will the blank screen problem be fixed
