Working pkgbuild (use ffmpeg4.4): https://github.com/FabioLolix/AURFIX/blob/main/o/olive-git/PKGBUILD

Hello, please rename source KDDockWidgets to olive-KDDockWidgets to let it work in a shared source folder setting (SRCDEST= in makepkg.conf)

==> Retrieving sources...
  -> Updating olive git repo...
==> ERROR: /mnt/1TBWDBLACK/source/KDDockWidgets is not a clone of https://github.com/olive-editor/KDDockWidgets.git
    Aborting...

Also the source core is very generic and IMO should be renamed, if you want a patch let me know

Unfortunately the package is now broken because ffmpeg 7 removes the old deprecated channel layout API. It's probably easier to drop down to ffmpeg5.

Please make the following changes:

  • Point the url to the github project page to make checking project status easier.

  • Remove "continuous" from the pkgver. Since upstream isn't making real releases, better to use r#.# format.

printf "r%s.%s" "$(git rev-list --count HEAD)" "$(git rev-parse --short=7 HEAD)"

Why is ffmpeg4.4 being used? AV1 exporting doesn't work with it.

@machinehum: The opentimelineio0.14 package had a bug in the "package" function that was fixed.

Edit: This should probably be on the opentimelineio0.14 page.

@tecnotercio: what is the fix here? I'm trying to install opentimelineio0.14 and getting this...

It looks like PKGBUILD is trying to install in /home?

@gardotd426: I have updated the PKGBUILD of the "opentimelineio0.14" package with your suggestion.

gardotd426 commented on 2023-05-06 07:11 (UTC)

@tecnotercio opentimelineio0.14 is not in chaotic-aur, and the AUR version fails to build. So until that gets fixed, this will not compile.

tecnotercio commented on 2023-03-22 17:42 (UTC)

@dr460nf1r3: Olive uses the OpenTimeLineIO API in version 0.14. The build does not work with the current version, nor with the Git package. The solution in the link compiles the program without library support (since CMake can't find the dependency headers). The solution in this case is to make the package "opentimelineio0.14" available in the Chaotic AUR repository.
