Hi there, thanks for your comment on the duplicate debug files.
Since the files of interest only pertain to debug, you can simply instruct your AUR helper to override these files.
For similar issues, please see [1], [2].
Additionally, consider modifying your
OPTIONS
flag inmakepkg.conf
to!debug

I got an error while (unsuccessfully) trying to install it:
Obviously, it seems to be a conflict between the two existing VSCode installations in my system, explicit one and the implicit, via Positron.
