@M-Bab Hey, thanks for letting me know. To be honest I haven't used these packages in ages. I'm surprised that my automatic update/build system is working as well as it does :) I was not aware that postinst doesn't run. I'll look into it!

Hello Schorsch,

Thanks for providing these awesome packages! I installed some of them and had some trouble getting the picoscope to actually work (missing LD, udev rules). I realized that there is a very useful postinst script within the debian packages - they do all the good stuff you want in this context:

  1. Add the library to /etc/ld.so.conf.d
  2. Create a udev rule for the device
  3. Trigger udevadm

I ran the script and the picoscope worked immediately. Did you ever consider to run the postinst script as well to get a more well rounded experience here?
