@frealgagu At this time version 2 doesn't work on Arch and they're continuing to support v1 for the time being so there's nothing I can do to resolve your out-of-date flag. That said, I've been tinkering with this on and off and frankly, unless the dev staff at SW starts doing better work, version 2 is unlikely to work on Arch.

My company has moved on to Datto and therefore it's official that I'll never be able to bring this package back to life.

@dhtseany What server are you using to register to? It works fine for me using version 2.0.3 and 2.0.5

Are you tried starting the service via

systemctl start rmmagent

?

@frealgagu Thanks! I'll check out your work sometime today. To be honest I've been tinkering with the latest version but the binary keeps crashing on me. I suspect it's a dep version problem but I hadn't figured out what the actual issue was because the crash was silent. If I can get your adaption working I'll merge it in here!

It has the changes to support the 2.0.1 version of rmmagent. The only thing missing is the .INSTALL file which was not included (it needs some changes to adjust the new service script and to made upgrades as necessary).

SolarWinds has (finally) released a 2.0 RC that I'm currently working on repacking. Eventually the required changes will be merged back into this package but for now it'll stay separate until I have defined the proper package upgrade procedures from v1.0.4 to v2.0, which the presently claim doesn't exist. I'll link to the new package here in another comment once it's ready for further testing.
