Reminders:

  1. If your wifi adapter is in CD-ROM mode, you need to use the command usb_modeswitch or eject to switch it to "Wifi Mode" first.

  2. Before installing this package, make sure your system has the corresponding kernel headers and the package base-devel installed.

  3. You have to manually blacklist or remove any conflicting drivers installed except the in-kernel rtw88 driver.

Is this package broken for anyone else? I can install but dkms fails. LOG: https://pastebin.com/CbA9kB0L

On the RTL8821CE adapter the 5 GHz networks work flawlessly while the 2.4 GHz ones have weak signal strength and quality that degrade rapidly when increasing the distance from the access point.

This driver has weak reception of 2.4 GHz wifi on the RTL8821CE adapter. It works great with 5 GHz.

What is the difference between this package and rtlwifi_new-rtw88-dkms? Do we need both?
