Thank you Jerry and Jirutka. I'm an arch newbie and didn't know about these rules :)

next time please flag the package out-of date

Upstream added dkms.conf
file to the repository, but it doesn’t work on Arch due to different paths. The problem is in package
function, local dkms.conf
is installed into pkgdir
before all files from the upstream repository are copied, so it overwrites our dkms.conf
.

There is no reason to do that. Please stop it and get some help.
Edit: I'll do some explanation for you. Normally makepkg checks the integrity and makes a symlink for dkms.conf at "$srcdir/dkms.conf" as it is in the source array. You should never use a file outside of the "$srcdir" since its integrity is probably not guaranteed. As of your problem, the symlink is somehow not created. It's your job to figure out why.

My filesystem is ext4.
Edit: removed bad solution

AFAIK The pkgbuild has no problem. You probably had done something wrong yourself (such as using a filesystem with no symlink support).

Hi Jerry, this PKGBUILD doesn't work:
==> Starting pkgver()...
==> Updated version: rtw89-dkms-git r78.0afadcf-1
==> Entering fakeroot environment...
==> Starting package()...
install: cannot stat 'dkms.conf': No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package().
Aborting...
I added a pwd and an ls inside package()
and got this:
/home/$USER/Documents/share/rtw89-dkms-git/src
total 12
drwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Jul 1 20:53 .
drwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4096 Jul 1 2021 ..
drwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8192 Jul 1 20:53 rtw89
I think you forgot to cd out of the srcdir?

installed.You have to manually blacklist or remove any conflicting drivers installed except the in-kernel rtw89 driver.
ONLY kernel 6.5 to 6.13 are supported currently.
