@fryfrog same to me like @shiftybloke. I also used the desktop integration, started it as simple icon on my desktop (or via "sabnzbd" in my terminal) and also used my /home partition as download location, which isn't possible anymore. I had to change the permissions for my home folder to get it worked, which was not necessary before. Anyways, thanks for your work.

If you look at recent commits, you'll see that I removed desktop support for .nzb files. Maybe that is what you mean? It was probably always running as a service. You can step back through old commits and tell me which one works like you liked, at least I'll understand what you're talking about.

@fryfrog When I installed it before I updated, I had it as an Icon in my Apps and it just loaded that way. Now I have to use systemd to start it, which is fine but I preferred it before

@shiftybloke: Pretty sure it has always been run as a service, what is your goal? You could checkout via git and look at the change log or step backward until you find what you're looking for. It is a deamon w/ a web interface, even if you only run it by hand... it is still the same.

Has anyone got a previous version where it doesn't act as a service? Or have I done something wrong? :D

@fryfrog I don't currently use the desktop integration, but I've been considering it. If it's a bunch of work, don't do it just for me. We're approaching our monthly quota, so it'd be some time before I could even try it.

@fryforg I personally don't use the desktop integration.

Does anyone use the .nzb desktop integration? I'm thinking of re-working the package a bit and pretty much none of the other software like this does this sort of thing. Does anyone <3 it?

Stupid newb question I'm sure but.... when I install SABNzbd and use override.conf to run it under my account/group and use chown to take over permissions of its' files and folders.... when I reboot the system, sabnzbd takes ownership of its' files and folders right back. How do I prevent that?

@Revelation60: How would you feel about moving the install from /opt to a more Arch location like /usr/lib (radarr/sonarr/etc) or even /usr/share like nzbget?
