Removal of python2-evdev is probably related to this planned python2 cleanup: https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-dev-public/2019-February/029475.html
As far as I can see, there was no decision posted in that thread, but there were no objections to it either, so someone probably started to clean up.

Anyone know what happened to it? I can't find any mentions of removal. Upstream "highly recommends" having it installed.

"python2-evdev" no longer in arch repos...

Just adopted the package. I'll get the evdev dep added right now.

python2-evdev needs to be added as a dependency. It's required for the new Bluetooth support (and better USB support)

scc-daemon requires evdev. Please add 'python2-evdev' to the dependencies.
