@voyage From the error, my best guess is it is having an issue loading the language files (not sure exactly). Do you maybe have a different system language set between the different installs that you tested on.

@matth Well, I've tried the same on a virtual machine with Manjaro - worked like a charm. Tried the same with EndeavourOS - same error, as I have on my main PC (running on EOS as well). Also, I've updated all packages for both before installing Screaming Frog.

Feel free to post the output of running it from a terminal to see if it logs anything of note.

@voyage I'm currently having no issues running it from this package.

There are no dependencies here because it currently uses the JRE that Screaming Frog bundles in the .deb package.

I've installed the package via yay -S screamingfrogseospider. It was installed successfully but the application crashes on the start (on initializing components stage).

I see there is no dependencies. Can it cause the problem? I guess it needs at least JRE to run it

or just use yay -S --mflags --skipinteg screamingfrogseospider

They've recently updated to 16.1, so this will (again) fail validation. As a workaround until the package is updated, simply edit the PKGBUILD and set:

pkgver=16.1

and

sha256sums=('9cff31e1c524bc6c02ff7e03ffa74c186bd33071d1357cb77b010744cef80747'

Hi I get the same problem to upgrade to 15.0-1 ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! Failed to build screamingfrogseospider
