Not sure how useful this is for other people but I'm using the following patch to allow for whitespace in SyncTex file paths.

Anyone coming here with sioyek: error while loading shared libraries: libmupdf.so.24.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory., just rebuild as suggested and reinstall.

With aurutils: aur sync --rebuild sioyek, then pacman -S sioyek.

@aexl Isn't this a binary? So we are not able to compile this ourselves, however I could be wrong here 😅 Reinstalling the package did not work for me. Nonetheless, the updated package provided by you works great again. Thank you for your time 🙂

If this happens, it is most certainly enough to recompile sioyek.

same here:

sioyek: error while loading shared libraries: libmupdf.so.24.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

libmupdf got updated again to version 1.24.3, which again brings back the same problem with launching it.

sioyek: error while loading shared libraries: libmupdf.so.24.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

At least for me, when installing with paru as an aur-helper.

@aexl great works for me, thank you for your fast reaction.

@Pummelfisch Recompiling and reinstalling the sioyek package should solve the issue. I have released the 2.0.0-6 so that it also gets triggered for people relying on an aur helper.

Since libmupdf updated to v1.24.2-1 in the Arch repo sioyek is not able to load the library with the error:

sioyek: error while loading shared libraries: libmupdf.so.24.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Running sioyek after installing this package gives me the following error:

cannot create context: incompatible header (1.23.7) and library (1.23.10) versions
could not create mupdf context

sioyek-git does work for me.
