Source file download is fixed for now. Remove old zero size file en.st-stm32cubeide_1.17.0_23558_20241125_2245_amd64.sh.zip for successful redownloading.
Fails to build due to the validity check for the .zip file (rightfully). Seems in my case this i caused by the file not fully downloading, but the script thinking it is already done (file size is 0). Manually downloading the generic linux package for cube ide and placing it in the build directory fixed this for me.
When installing the package:

Ignoring the checks give me:

Wrong SHA on the... pdf?
This error is coming from the build of stlink-server, which this package now depends on. It's already been reported on that package.
Incidentally, because of that change in dependencies, I had to uninstall and reinstall stm32cubeide to get it to upgrade correctly.

It now depends on stlink-server package
This indirectly conflicts with stm32cubeclt. That package requires stlink-server, which contains /usr/bin/stlink-server that stm32cubeide also provides.
Could you add a provides entry for stlink-server=2.1.1 as well as a conflicts entry for stlink-server to this package?
@kumen @schnedan Sometimes the link/website download works, sometimes not. I suspect that this depends on the time of day. Please write to STM online support and open a ticket: https://ols.st.com/ I had the same problem with the previous version. I received the file directly from support. STM32CubeIDE is now run by executing
stm32cubeide_waylandofficial script. If you have issues related to run environment, try to edit/usr/share/applications/stm32cubeide.desktopfile and uncomment one of commented outExec=...lines and comment out currently used one.
