Fucking hell. This mongodb sucks balls. Couldn't they use something more straightforward like sqlite or mariadb?

After the update I was not able to connect to https://localhost:8443 any more.

mongodb-bin was updated to 4.2, unifi is not compatible with this version. You should use mongodb-bin-3.6 instead.

Still getting stuck at "unifi controller is starting up".

Make sure you set 'archlinux-java set java-8-openjdk/jre ' for mongodb-bin to be happy

On a fresh installation, you may find the service starts properly, but hangs at "The server is starting" or some similar message. Run this:

chown -R unifi:unifi /usr/lib/unifi/data/db

There are some files in this folder that have the root:root ownership, but should have unifi:unifi permissions.

For aur-utils users, you can use the "-p" or "--provides" switch to have it use a pre-installed mongodb-bin package instead of compiling mongodb (Thanks to alad).

Cheers @freswa, I'll move to jre8-openjdk-headless instead.

freswa commented on 2019-06-26 11:51 (UTC)

Just use jre8-openjdk-headless.

Strykar commented on 2019-06-26 01:03 (UTC)

How is this package going to work moving forward now that jre8-openjdk-headless-infinality has been abandoned? See https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/jre8-openjdk-headless-infinality/#comment-652401

Just a quick WARNING guys! Dont upgrade your devices firmware into 4.0.42!!! Its a completely garbage and causes network breakdown! The forum flood with the bugreports. Of course this not affect the controller version.
