"LogModuleManager:Warning: No filename provided for module XMPP
LogModuleManager:Warning: ModuleManager: Unable to load module 'XMPP' because the file '/opt/unreal-engine/Engine/Binaries/Linux/' was not found." - this causes (I think) that the Unreal Engine ran not from within terminal is invisible for the user while startup recompiling if it's needed. So I can't tell if it's running or something is wrong and I need to start it again... because recompiling can take a while.

For people having issues is the engine installing correctly?
If it is try running chmod 775 -Rf unreal-engine/
Also try assigning every file to an unreal group, and adding your current user to the group.
That might fix the issue.
bioshacker001 commented on 2016-11-26 19:33 (UTC)
I rebuilt, and the issue is still there for me as well, although I'm still building using the PKGBUILD.
Using binned.
Increasing per-process limit of core file size to infinity.
- Existing per-process limit (soft=18446744073709551615, hard=18446744073709551615) is enough for us (need only 18446744073709551615)
Signal 11 caught.
Malloc Size=131076 LargeMemoryPoolOffset=131092
CommonLinuxCrashHandler: Signal=11
Malloc Size=65535 LargeMemoryPoolOffset=196655
Malloc Size=47052 LargeMemoryPoolOffset=243724
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
The crash appears to be memory-related, which is unusual given that I have 16GB of RAM. MORE than enough.
I'll rebuild using the latest git pull, and update you.
Drahull commented on 2016-11-23 19:49 (UTC)
Well it seems to be a thread problem or to be related to th radeon driver (or both).
I have 2 different GPU in my computer, maybe it's the problem.
By the way I retry to re-install and compile manually (without this aur package), the problem is still there.
I'm currently trying to compile in debug mode as EpicGames advises : make UE4Editor-Linux-Debug
bioshacker001 commented on 2016-11-21 16:12 (UTC)
I'm having the same segfault issue. I'm rebuilding to see if it's fixed upstream, and if it isn't I'll post the segfault.

Hi,
I try to use unreal-engine so 3 days ago I installed it. It was running but if I tried to open a project it shutted down (96%). It was missing some right access and then (after I gave the access) it was missing some stk7* file.
Anyway, I decided to re-do all the installation so I removed the local installation and re-run the install this night.
Unfortunately, UE4 doesn't want to start anymore with a core dumped...
Here the file with the basic ouputs : https://framadrop.org/r/oKjAHCUH94#u/PNfqAi2eaav/1yBkUeL0HmyE11OOyQpINmohuh9Xg=
Sometimes, I get some backtrace error infos. The total I can get is this : https://framadrop.org/r/bRqG-gm_al#DK6QDJ2RxR1XYAblqppnhpCLidDU1OYxp8+4fvX+k2k=
If the problem is from me, I apologize. If you want me to try some things, I'll be glad to help (when I'll be able to do it).

patch added for fixing DotNET folder.

@schroedi Ok, looks like I'll be hunting for where the typo is in Unreal, and patching it.

@juancarlospaco this is easily done on your own system, not in a PKGBUILD, given that building packages runs as root:
Permission issues like this are already mentioned on the UE Arch wiki page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Unreal_Engine_4#Installing_from_the_AUR
This is a user system problem; I already did what I could without needing users to do the above by giving the
777
permissions. If it still gives you trouble, you'll have to use the example to solve it or change the install location to somewhere you have user permissions by default (as I cannot do this for you).zerophase commented on 2021-05-27 08:15 (UTC) (edited on 2021-05-30 08:41 (UTC) by zerophase)
Will update to 5.0 when it is released.
