This is flagged out-of-date but isn't. 0.4 represents the most recent version tag on github. If you want more recent code I recommend urxvt-tabbedex-git.

Hi zsd, like Schnouki says, GitHub is the best thing to use. I'm afraid I've not been able to devote much time to maintaining this, so there is already several pull requests waiting on GitHub. I hope to deal with them soon. Alternatively, you can email me a patch file and I can apply it upstream, mailto: mail4stb at gmail dot com

@zsd: The best thing would be to get that merged upstream. GitHub is quite nice for this (fork original repo, add your changes, send a pull request).

Hi, I have some updates to - add some functionality - name tabs via an escape sequence - ensure the current tab's name is shown in the tab bar - fix / work around some bugs - work around bugs in 9.12 which cause tabbed windows to open with the wrong number of rows and columns. (Unfortunately, the urxvt bugs changed in 9.14, but if anyone wants to improve/fix this for 9.14, that would be great.) - the old code threw away all command-line args except for -e <cmd>, which means that args like '-ls' were ignored. This code fixes that. I could put a patch file (or the whole thing) here, but what is the politically correct way to do it in this part of the world? No, the only way to do that would be to edit the tabbedex Perl script yourself. I don't have time at the moment to add new features. If you want to have a go yourself feel free to clone my github repo and send me a pull request. --stepb

Can I use this for starting urxvt in a specific tabbing mode,with like 3 tabs opened,one called 'mail',the second called 'irc' and the last one 'irc'?It would be quite cool!
