when trying to run this app in firejail, i get this:

[4:0921/120718.134903:FATAL:setuid_sandbox_host.cc(158)] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /opt/ytmdesktop/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.

Just a heads up: the github repo and org is currently down because a dev's account got compromised. Theyre working on getting it back up atm.

@deimosfr, @veganvelociraptr I had the same issue. I solved it, by installing python310, then updated my python symlink to point to this version. Did the update, and replaced back my original system symlink.

Issue seems to be with old node-gyp package.

@deimosfr, I have the same problem both with this and ytmdesktop-git. Tried the entire range of node versions up to the latest one but it won't compile.

Hi, since the last update, I'm getting the following error:

ValueError: invalid mode: 'rU' while trying to load binding.gyp

Any idea?

@LRitzdorf I have the same problem. Edit: I installed electron13-bin manually and then installing this worked.

I wonder why it takes so much time to install, and it uses all my bandwidth and downloaded like 10 GB, this never happened before.
