At the time of this writing, PKGBUILD depends on zfs-utils-2.0.1 which does not exist in AUR. zfs-linux-git has the autoconf error mentioned by @minextu, installing aur/autoconf-git resolves build issue on this system. Switched back to core/autoconf after zfs build.

There are other unrelated warnings during the zfs build that look worrisome, this is the first time I have used zfs so cannot comment on functionality.

@tachyon_84 ZFS doesn't build with the autoconf 2.70 (https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/issues/11413). Just pushed an update with a workaround

New kernel version! Anything I can do to help add support?

It is unfortunate, but on the very date this was updated archlinux updated to linux=5.8.14.arch1-1

-> Could not find all required packages: linux-headers=5.8.13.arch1-1 (Wanted by: zfs-linux)

@Perseids Thank you.

@archplayer See https://github.com/archzfs/archzfs/issues/346 for details. I solved it via

wget https://archzfs.com/archzfs.gpg
# [ Optionally verify the downloaded key has the same fingerprint as the one you already have in your pacman keyring ]
sudo pacman-key -a archzfs.gpg

@minextu I'm getting an error with the signature:

error: archzfs: signature from "ArchZFS Bot <buildbot@archzfs.com>" is unknown trust
error: failed to update archzfs (invalid or corrupted database (PGP signature))

@minextu I noticed that today (21 April) marks the zfs-linux AUR 4th anniversary - so congrats! However, I also noticed it took from 15 April until 21 April to add support for linux=5.6.5.arch3-1.

During that interim, 5.6.6-arch1-1 was released and has already been out for a few days, so I still cannot install zfs-linux and zfs-linux-headers on my main system due to the kernel version incompatibilities.

Is it possible to automate the zfs-linux AUR rebuild process on your end, so that zfs-linux automatically gets rebuilt upon a new Arch kernel hitting the repos?

Thank you for all your efforts! Cheers

@francoism90 Yes they are in the git repo (https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/pull/9961 and https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/pull/10064), so they should be stable.
