Do not flag this package out-of-date.

It updates automatically on each install.

The PKGBUILD from Det works. It should be uploaded.

This is because along with the URL change Google also changed the name of the file showing the latest Chromium version ("LATEST" -> "LAST_CHANGE"). So the "LATEST" variable just needs to be replaced with "LAST_CHANGE" in everywhere else too (also includes other minor fixes, such as removing the redundant 'return' checks and adding quotes to the (src/pkg)dir variables): http://pastebin.com/EKUdCjfh

@Xerdomii Just tryed to patch it with your http://pastebin.com/rBqWRyn5 And got the following: /tmp/yaourt-tmp-jason2/aur-chromium-browser-bin/./tmp.1vos5pYC57: line 5: syntax error near unexpected token `esac'

@w1ntermute, the chromium-browser-ppa is also build but only once per day from an SVN update, which I think is more stable or free of new bugs. As for as chromium-browser-bin is concerned they (the google people) also build it on Ubuntu machines, hence none of these is (or can never be) fully compatible with ArchLinux, but both these just work for us. Both are just *beta builds*, hence we should not expect too much from these; new bugs are being introduced at a same speed as are being fixed everyday. These builds are made available just to seek as much feedback as the upstream developers can.

@bdheeman: What was your reason for moving over? Is chromium-browser-ppa a replacement for chromium-browser-bin?

@tang0th67, I don't use this PKGBUILD since the day I created https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=38816, hence I totally depend on the users for testing, updates and, or changes. Please do test it before submitting and, or asking for a change.

Oppps best revert that it looks like gconf is a compile flag... :(

Just like to say that chromium DOESN'T need gconf any more, check out http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=13322 and check teh package at http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/chromium/ it doesn't need gconf. Thanks ^_^
