Maybe you can just bump pkgrel. Like that yaourt will just rebuild it for people automatically as an "update".

Yeah, Compiz needs a rebuild and then it'll be fine.

Last arch update lost compiz configuration and ccsm dont start. downgrading protobuf fix the problem

WARNING: Latest harfbuzz (1.4.x) makes Compiz gtk-window-decorator to fail building. If you had Compiz previously installed, revert to harfbuzz 1.3.x branch instead to make it work again.

@Chazza Yes it worked without symlink. Thanks!

<deleted-account> commented on 2016-11-22 09:45 (UTC)

No, there's no need to symlink and rebuild. Just rebuild the package and install it and it will be fine. Compiz just needs to be linked against the new libary basically. Note: please don't start symlinking new library names to old. It might save you a compiz rebuild now but eventually you'll end up with a horrible mess.

@ector sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libprotobuf.so.10 /usr/lib/libprotobuf.so.9 Then recompile and install compiz
