@fethio, you should place files from snapshot side by side with PKGBUILD. You can do it such way: 1) Download snapshot using link above, unpack it somewhere. 2) Download tristanteu's pkgbuild (you can rename it to PKGBUILD_tristanteu.txt) 3) Convert Win line breaks to unix line breaks in PKGBUILD_tristanteu.txt 4) Replace md5sum with SKIP 5) Do makepkg -fip PKGBUILD_tristanteu.txt Then modified package should be installed.

@tristanteu, I've downloaded your PKGBUILD, but it complains: [fethi@c_corax evdi-1.4.1]$ makepkg ==> ERROR: changelog file (evdi-pre-release.Changelog) does not exist or is not a regular file. ==> ERROR: install file (evdi-pre-release.install) does not exist or is not a regular file. ==> ERROR: An unknown error has occurred. had to change the PKGBUILD to get latest changes from git to compile with kernel 4.12.3-1-ARCH https://pastebin.com/1X2s5XZ5

I had to add libdrm to makedepends to get this to build.

How were you able to get 1.41 working? I get the following error when trying to reinstall Displaylink 1.3.52: Looks like I now have kernel 4.11.5-1 ERROR (code 3): Failed to build evdi/1.3.52. Consult /var/lib/dkms/evdi/1.3.52/build/make.log for details. I've installed 1.4.1-pre-release but it looks like evdi/1.3.52 is still created under /var/lib/dkms/evdi.

In the latest version I've got the same error as in the pure evdi package using kernel 4.11.3-1-ARCH. The compile fails complaining about the kernel needing to be configured solved it by using evdi-1.4.1

For those who have freeze problem (1fps problem) with intel graphics, read this thread: https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/issues/85 I've installed xf86-video-intel and created /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf with content from thread.
