@lfk thanks, I fixed it. Should now build without needing to edit the file.

Tried evdi-pre-release on 4.11.2. Had to alter variables in the PKGBUILD due to the pkgname, but after doing so it worked well and I was able to get Displaylink to work again. Thanks!

If you’re on the latest linux, use https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/evdi-pre-release/ and stop flagging this package out of date!

I changed the Packagebuild to download Version 1.4.1 and the according md5sum, works like a charm for both kernels. Thanks for pointing out the report on Github!

The bug seems to be solved (https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/issues/89). In my personal experience is better to use the lts version of the kernel.

Same issue here. Cannot build evdi on 4.11. It works on `linux-lts`, though. I have opened an issue on GitHub and linked to the make.log posted by Hal5000: https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/issues/89 Also, I'm not too sure that it has been abandoned? If you are referring to the fact that it says build: cancelled, I don't think that is an indication. If you check Travis, it was just cancelled for 3.17, but built successfully for all other kernels (up to and including 4.10).

It seems that evdi has been abandoned (check Github). I don't have time to fork und fix plus I'm running on linux-lts.
