thanks for improving the package so much since i last checked. building takes a very long time for me, mostly because there is a whole lot of data to be written and copied. how about speeding that up a little by moving data from $srcdir to $pkgdir, which takes nearly no time.

The problem is confirmed by upstream : https://github.com/KillaW0lf04/The-Witcher-2-Issues/issues/75#issuecomment-55732839 , so everyone who installs the PKGBUILD is concerned. I propose an improved PKBUILD which add a workaround and a .desktop file for the configurator : https://www.dropbox.com/s/as6iayj9mlwff6j/witcher2-aur.tar.gz

I found the save game problem with strace : http://pastebin.com/Rrz1t56H Especially these three lines : [pid 2829] open("eONprecompiledShaders32.dat", O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_APPEND|O_LARGEFILE, 0666) = -1 EACCES (Permission denied) [pid 2816] open("/opt/gog/the-witcher-2-assassins-of-kings/game/bin/dzip2", O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_EXCL|O_TRUNC|O_LARGEFILE, 0664) = -1 EACCES (Permission denied) [pid 2816] open("/opt/gog/the-witcher-2-assassins-of-kings/game/bin/dzip3", O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_EXCL|O_TRUNC|O_LARGEFILE, 0664) = -1 EACCES (Permission denied) TW2 wants to write to /opt/gog/the-witcher-2-assassins-of-kings/game/bin/ when I click on Save game. A "sudo chmod -R 777 /opt/gog/the-witcher-2-assassins-of-kings/game/bin/" makes saving works as intended.
