I tried to install again. but I had a error message
(1/1) upgrading mint-artwork [############################################] 100% usage: sudo -h | -K | -k | -V usage: sudo -v [-ABknS] [-g group] [-h host] [-p prompt] [-u user] usage: sudo -l [-ABknS] [-g group] [-h host] [-p prompt] [-U user] [-u user] [command] usage: sudo [-ABbEHknPS] [-C num] [-D directory] [-g group] [-h host] [-p prompt] [-R directory] [-T timeout] [-u user] [VAR=value] [-i|-s] [<command>] usage: sudo -e [-ABknS] [-C num] [-D directory] [-g group] [-h host] [-p prompt] [-R directory] [-T timeout] [-u user] file ... error: command failed to execute correctly :: Running post-transaction hooks... Maybe it's something wrong in the ".INSTALL" file.

It might be due to the changes I made with quoting everything. I've just undone those quotation marks. Try an upgrade?
@dinth, It uses slick-greeter, the config is named gtk because Mint did that and slick still uses it. What you're talking about is the default config that slick attempts to use first, then it also loads others based on their numeric value, a lot like X11's xorg configs.

I have managed to pass this by copying manually files from ./src/... to ./pkg/... folders and commenting out that line in PKGBUILD.

This error message shows up during the build of 1.5.7:
cp: stat '/home/theaestheticfur/.cache/paru/clone/mint-artwork/src/mint-artwork/usr/share/*' failed: No such file or directory
I tried to use a different wildcard in the cp command, but then the install failed with sudo spitting out its help page.

How can I fix this?
(Stock Arch Linux + Cinnamon)

also it seems that the greeter config is messed up: 1. The package require lightdm-slick-greeter and replaces lightdm-gtk-greeter. 2. The greeter configuration installed is for lightdm-gtk-greeter

Same problem here. Funilly, running stat manually works

I've this error installing this package. The locale it's in italian, sorry. Basically it can't stat the files in ${pkgdir}/usr/share/ even if those are there.

I've updated the dbus method of restarting Cinnamon. It seems dbus doesn't allow other users to communicate with other's sessions. With everything running as root (sudo), I had to come up with a way to 'get back to the user' bus to send the restart command. Tested, worked fine on 3 machines. Edit: It now also lets the user know it is restarting Cinnamon via official 'Restarting Cinnamon ...' OSD. :)

@jasminj, They're meant to conflict.
manjaro-cinnamon-settings
changes the default Cinnamon configuration for new profiles and other small stuff, including amakepkg.conf
. Your only options are to either specifyoverwrite
, not installmint-artwork
, or removemanjaro-cinnamon-settings
(best, in my opinion, except you'd need to create/copymakepkg.conf
).Edit: In short, instead of using
mint-artwork
which normally themes Cinnamon, Manjaro decided to change all defaults to their own without separating their modifications. The only thing useful aboutmanjaro-cinnamon-settings
is the defaultHexChat Server List
configured for Manjaro rather than Linux Mint andmakepkg.conf
. I might add it as aconflict
andprovides
for bothmanjaro-cinnamon-settings
andmanjaro-desktop-settings
. If you want to test out without doing anoverwrite
or removingmanjaro-cinnamon-settings
, you can comment-out the line regardingskel
copying in thepkgbuild
or other overwriting files.jasminj commented on 2022-03-20 21:37 (UTC)
I face the same problem with "manjaro-cinnamon-settings". Do you already know what is the reason and how to solve it?
