I have the same problem, suddenly it started to hang at the "running migrations" stage. I have keyring installed.

Since the latest update a few days I'm back at the "running migrations" freeze. Any ideas?

@dpeukert sorry for delay, I forgot complety reply, do you want co-maintain this package and do mongodb-compass and mongodb-compass-bin?

dpeukert commented on 2021-04-18 11:50 (UTC)

@ogarcia: There actually is, the mongodb-compass-isolated and mongodb-compass-readonly (and their corresponding beta packages) I maintain are built from source, as opposed to the mongodb-compass-isolated-bin and mongodb-compass-readonly-bin packages, which use the prebuilt binary like this package does. It's up to you if you would want to maintain both mongodb-compass and mongodb-compass-bin, but IMHO @k0r0ng is right regarding the renaming.

ogarcia commented on 2021-03-23 14:24 (UTC)

@k0r0ng no, because there is not "not-bin" alternative. See Teams or Slack Desktop for example

My opinion, this package name should be mongodb-compass-bin cause from binary package.

I wasn't able to save connections but as mentioned by @wcasanova, installing gnome-keyring resolved the issue.

(I'm on KDE)

@davc0n org.freedesktop.secrets is needed, but kwallet doesn't support it yet, as an alternative to gnome-keyring use keepassxc
