@ruario on one of my machines opera-developer didn't start right away, it was reporting those libssl/crypto errors aswell as something in line of 'could not initialize web interface?' and lots of failed sqlite entries. After about 8 tries, with and without switch you mentioned it started to run. Sorry I cannot provide whole log, but it's acually similar to the one posted by bsdson and just before it started to run the failed sql entries were there too.

How could I install java, flash etc plugins on this release?

ruario commented on 2014-06-25 10:25 (UTC)

F.Y.I. The conflicts are still wrong. In fact you do not need to set anything here. The developer release uses file names and paths which include -developer. A next release would include file names and paths that include -next. A stable release would have neither. All three can install alongside each other.

@ruario it worked , thanks for the info .

I should add. If that switch helps it is a crash that happens on importing settings from Chrome, and it occurs when Chrome is your default browser. The switch can be used as a workaround, and the next build that we will release will include the real fix.

Those getting crash on start up could you try running Opera from a terminal like so: opera-developer --with-feature:first-run-import=false &
