Now opera-developer-ffmpeg-codecs-bin is optional dependency for Opera-Developer. with this package you can watch videos everywhere! Hope you enjoy it.

@eworm, thx for the fast delivery :) for the people missing the pepper flash plugin, some suggestions here to use a opera-developer wrapper script in the same way we have the chromium wrappers https://github.com/herecura/herecura/tree/master/testing/opera-developer here you could change after install the /etc/opera-developer/default file to: OPERA_FLAGS=" --ppapi-flash-path=/usr/lib/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so --ppapi-flash-version=14.0.0.125"

I've got the same issue as Chrissss, except that after about 5 minutes the application window appeared.

Anyone else is experiencing issues with flash player? It doesn't seem to detect the plugin

Wrote a bug report on the Opera bug report wizard, let's see if it helps :)

opera-dev and opera-developer should be merged into a single package

same here , chromium work fine , no crashes in any other apps , hopefully @ruario can help :)

Chrissss commented on 2014-06-23 13:56 (UTC)

Opera and Chromium ran just fine. It looks like a bug in Opera. I downloaded the .deb file of Opera Developer from the opera homepage. Extracted the file and the data.tar.gz. After that I chowned the directory to root:root and chmodded 4755 to opera_sandbox. I can execute the opera binary now, but it ends up with the same error messages and crashes...

eworm commented on 2014-06-23 13:41 (UTC)

Hmm, no idea then... Does Chromium work? Or did you see crashes with other packages?

A.J commented on 2014-06-23 13:32 (UTC)

@eworm: downgraded libxcursor to 1.1.14-1 , with no luck , the problem still persist with the same error
