Link to pamac-mirrolist.timer is removed now by default is disabled

I confirm the remark of @Jristz's that pamac-mirrolist.service try to exec the binary that is only provided by Manjaro. According to the warning that systemd gave me when stopped the service, pamac-mirrolist.timer spawn/trigger the daemon once each month and thus it could have been unnoticed.

For pamac-aur 6.0 you have to add archlinux-appstream-data.

There is a way to get rid of the warning about packages "on hold"?

<deleted-account> commented on 2017-09-01 03:46 (UTC)

I noticed that pamac-mirrorlist.service try exec pacman-mirrors which is neither provided by any Arch package not packaged in AUR and also not mentioned in the optdeps. Is there a possibility to also package this pacman-mirrors or at least disable by default the pamac-mirrorlist.service?

@invidian: "pkg-config" is part of the package group "base-devel", which all AUR packages assume is installed, so no make dependency is needed for it.

invidian commented on 2017-08-23 22:16 (UTC)

It seems that there is missing `pkg-config` dependency/build dependency. While updating from 5.0.0 to 5.1.0, I got following error during compilation: error: Failed to execute child process “pkg-config” (No such file or directory) Compilation failed: 8 error(s), 2 warning(s) make[1]: *** [Makefile:67: pamac-user-daemon] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory '/tmp/yaourt-tmp-invidian/aur-pamac-aur/src/pamac-5.1.0/src' make: *** [Makefile:14: all] Error 2 After installing `pkg-config` package, it was all fine.

What did the maintainer just write? Anyway, you can use the package from Antergos repo for the time being.
