Compilation fails for me
Could not find platform independent libraries <prefix>
Could not find platform dependent libraries <exec_prefix>
Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to <prefix>[:<exec_prefix>]
ImportError: No module named site
Any ideas?

I have 2 accounts(besides root) in /etc/sudoers.
When authentication by pamac is required while logged in the first acount, it asks for a password for the second one which is not used or logged in at all at the moment. Is this an upstream issue?

Is there no icon by default in every DE and I need to install pamac-tray-appindicator?
EDIT: Silly me, I needed to restart X after installing pamac.

Has pamac-tray-appindicator been removed from AUR on pupose? I'd like to have its tray indicator shown on KDE plasma when updates available. I know Manjaro still has the package in its repo.

xdelta3 is specific configuration see :
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Deltup
Pamac no depend to xdelta3
wotantx commented on 2017-01-24 14:10 (UTC)
The pamac packages depend on xdelta3 to work with delta updates. Attempting an upgrade without xdelta3 installed results in an error stating that the binary patch failed.

I had this same problem but I didn't have Infinality installed. I had freetype2-ubuntu.
Switching back to vanilla Freetype2 fixed the problem as per scorpius2k1's instructions below:
sudo pacman -S fontconfig freetype2 cairo lib32-fontconfig lib32-cairo lib32-freetype2
[...]
I also switched my freetype2 interpreter by editing /etc/profile.d/freetype2.sh
and uncommenting the last line, making sure it reads: export FREETYPE_PROPERTIES="truetype:interpreter-version=40"
Restart.
