Would be nice to switch to https://github.com/ernstp/pobfrontend for pobfrontend as it seems to have improved Wayland support.

EDIT: if you change the deps from qt5-base to qt6-base it seems to work as a drop-in replacement.

@bcareil You should bump package version when doing changes to build script, because AUR helpers still use previous version.

If you clone and build the AUR package manually it works

It's not fixed, but installing the package mentioned by synlic helped, tyvm!

bcareil commented on 2022-11-21 13:09 (UTC)

Sorry for the delay, it should be fixed now.

Upstream vendor most of their Lua dependencies so I pointed LUA_PATH to the correct location as suggested by @dpbriggs.

synlic commented on 2022-11-14 17:33 (UTC)

It works after installing the package: lua51-dkjson-2.6-1 from community repo.

Maybe adding that as a dependency?

dpbriggs commented on 2022-10-30 14:02 (UTC)

I started receiving a "module 'dkjson' not found" error. It's unclear if it's an issue with my system but here's a workaround to get it started:

LUA_PATH='/opt/PathOfBuildingCommunity/runtime/lua/dkjson.lua;;' PathOfBuildingCommunity

Thanks for diagnosing the issue and submitting a fix upstream guys, much appreciated.

Since the fix has been merged upstream, there is no need for me to update the package apparently.

During development of the timeless jewel feature we didn't realize the install-only nature of this package.

There's a pending PR in https://github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/pull/4588 which has a graceful recovery from not being able to cache the files to disk at runtime and just use them in memory as it's just for convenience to not have to decompress them on every run.

I've tested that PR by adding it as a patch to a checkout of this PKGBUILD and it seems to Work On My Machine. Once it gets merged to dev I believe that this uncompressedFile problem should be resolved.

omg thanks @d47.. sudo-ing did fix the problem with the timelessjewel. I just import my character once just for the timelessjewel to be decompressed. After that, running the app in normal way works.

@zaoo & @element8one, the issue is caused by the data files in /opt/PathOfBuildingCommunity/src/Data/TimelessJewelData/ being decompressed during runtime but lacking write permission to that folder.

You can run with sudo and load up your character to allow it to extract the data files, then afterwards you can run as your user as normal.
