Update to 1.1.1 and pkgbuild rework is now done. Note that wxpython still needs the patch to support recent versions of pycairo: https://github.com/swt2c/wxPython/commit/31f1eb9ef2b4b2d12e6c6ddc5af9888fae1857ee

curl https://github.com/swt2c/wxPython/commit/31f1eb9ef2b4b2d12e6c6ddc5af9888fae1857ee.patch -o wx.patch
sudo patch -b /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/wx-3.0-gtk3/wx/lib/wxcairo.py wx.patch

@alexander: Done. I list you as contributor with only the name now.

@Jake

Can you please remove my Email-address from the PKGBUILD file for me. (I should have done it myself before I disowned the package, but I forgot).

Thank you

@JenDahm I have seen your forum thread(https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=231925) and you are exactly right, changing the version check fixes the problem. Did you already submit a patch or how do you want to proceed? Now with this package i would like to use and maintain it, should we make a simple patched wxpython AUR package first? And wxpython[community] should have python2-cairo as optdepend. Maybe it would also be not too difficult to get pyspread with wxpython-phoenix-4.0 (where new development happens) working, currently this fails when trying to import wx.combo.

JenDahm, thank you for your input. You are right with the errors; they seem to be caused by some changes in the cairo package. Anyway, this pyspread package is outdated. Since I do not use the package anymore I will disown it. Feel free to adopt.

There are a couple comments I want to make about dependencies. First, I believe that the `cairo` dependency should be `pygtk` instead. `pygtk` depends on `python2-cairo` which depends on `cairo`, and pyspread wouldn't start up without that `pygtk`. Second, I believe pyspread also depends on `pango`. Again, it wouldn't start up without this package. Finally, while pyspread now runs, it won't display anything in the grid. When run from the terminal, I get several errors that look like this: ``` Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pyspread/src/gui/_grid_renderer.py", line 293, in Draw grid._view_frozen) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pyspread/src/gui/_grid_renderer.py", line 248, in _get_cairo_bmp context = wx.lib.wxcairo.ContextFromDC(mdc) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/wx-3.0-gtk2/wx/lib/wxcairo.py", line 137, in ContextFromDC ctx = pycairoAPI.Context_FromContext(ctxptr, pycairoAPI.Context_Type, None) AttributeError: 'Pycairo_CAPI' object has no attribute 'Context_FromContext' ``` I'm going to start a forum thread about this. I'm not sure what's going on.
