Has anyone else encountered issues with the most recent update? I installed it through Yay and encountered no installation issues, but when I attempt to launch the application, I receive the following errors:

$ remotedesktopmanager

shell-init: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent

directories: No such file or directory

chdir: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory

Unhandled exception. System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load shared library

'libWebView.so' or one of its dependencies. In order to help diagnose loading problems,

consider using a tool like strace. If you're using glibc, consider setting the LD_DEBUG

environment variable:

Upon inspecting for libWebView.so, I noticed its presence but under slightly different

names as detailed below:

$ ls | grep lib

libclrgc.so

libclrjit.so

libcoreclr.so

libcoreclrtraceptprovider.so

libDevolutionsCrypto.so

libDevolutionsPicky.so

libDevolutionsProtocols.so

libDevolutionsRdp.so

libDevolutionsSspi.so

libDevolutionsVnc.so

libEmbeddedTerminal.so

libhostfxr.so

libhostpolicy.so

libMono.Unix.so

libmscordaccore.so

libmscordbi.so

libSkiaSharp.so

libSystem.Globalization.Native.so

libSystem.IO.Compression.Native.so

libSystem.Native.so

libSystem.Net.Security.Native.so

libSystem.Security.Cryptography.Native.OpenSsl.so

libWebView-4.0.so

libWebView-4.1.so

libxmf.so

mscorlib.dll

Despite attempting to rename the files to match the missing ones, the issue persists. Is there something I might be overlooking? I'm relatively new to Arch Linux (been using it for less than three days), and I'm wondering if there's a step I missed.

Thanks for the heads up @CPlusPandaGives, I've fixed this and bumped the release version. Devolutions is taking over the package management and adding this as part of the automation, so I've let them know this part was missed.

CPlusPandaGives commented on 2024-01-17 09:21 (UTC)

Please can you include the sha256sum in the PKGBUILD? Looks like it's been missed off

@mwawrzyniak You're right. I did a reinstall for other reasons and found that I had the same issue, so I must have had vte3 pulled in from somewhere else (also I should have checked pacman with -Q instead of -Qe). I've added it as a dependency. Thanks

mwawrzyniak commented on 2023-10-16 16:44 (UTC)

Odd. I'm using KDE as well (plasma-meta, kde-applications-meta). This is a fresh Arch install from last Friday and had never had RDM installed before. I can still reproduce it by removing the extra/vte3 package.

tgm4883 commented on 2023-10-16 15:39 (UTC)

@mwawrzyniak I don't have that issue on the 2023.2.2.6 using KDE. I checked and I don't have a vte3 package installed but can get to all of the tabs.

mwawrzyniak commented on 2023-10-16 13:35 (UTC)

FYI, the latest version seems to require the extra/vte3 package. Without it, you get an error message going to File->Preferences and can't tab to any of the tabs past "User Interface".

@emmmm Support for RDM Should probably happen over in their forum https://forum.devolutions.net/product/rdm-linux

@beliys I should be able to keep up on this a bit faster, but I just opened this to see if Devolutions wants to take over packaging of it. https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/39832/take-over-the-aur-package

@emmmm I don't have problems with 2.0.5 and 2.0.6 on my Manjaro KDE. For downgrade AUR package u can edit PKGBUILD and reinstall.

@tgm4883 Lately, the community has been receiving updates with quite a long delay. Maybe you need help with the support of this package? I can be a co-maintainer if you want.
