Support for this software (Remote Desktop Manager) should happen on their forum: https://forum.devolutions.net/product/rdm-linux

Issues with the packaging should be reported here.

how should I do the roll back? I'm new on Manjaro, so happy with this system, by the way :)

I rolled back to 1.1.5. 2.0.5 and the newer version (not yet published on AUR) both give me that issue.

Hi, I update remote-desktop-manager to 2023.2.0.5-1 but, since I update. The program crash on opening. When I execute vía console, I get this error:

(RemoteDesktopManager:174125): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 13:04:54.320: gtk_widget_grab_default: assertion 'gtk_widget_get_can_default (widget)' failed zsh: segmentation fault (core dumped) remotedesktopmanager

Any recommendation or solution???

FYI the 2023.1.0.5 build is back to using data.tar.xz instead of data.tar.zst. "makepkg -si" works fine after reverting that change in the PKGBUILD.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Good catch, I hadn't had time to look at why I was getting the old version still. On a related note, does anyone know if there's a way to have makepkg cleanup the src and pkg directories after building?

with the update today to version 2022.3.1.3 the data.tar.xz has changed into data.tar.zst and needs updating in the PKGBUILD prepare section.

Regarding this package being out of date.

Devolutions combined the two versions, there's no longer a separate free version (if you download the free version from the website, it's the same hash and name as the enterprise version). Everyone should switch to https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/remote-desktop-manager

For more info see https://blog.devolutions.net/2022/10/news-remote-desktop-manager-is-changing-for-the-better/

I have filed a request back on Nov 8th to merge this package (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/remote-desktop-manager-free) into https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/remote-desktop-manager. This package should go away.
