Hello @Kazaii,
Just to let you know that I am another Scrt user, using intensively the software and your package :). And I am a Manjaro user, so I am waiting for your update (no hurry, the 9.2 version is working fine).
I had a full manjaro update, this morning, which removed openssl-1.1 (breaking scrt, of course). I just reinstalled it by hand "pamac install openssl-1.1", and I am fine. The OS is working, and Scrt 9.2 is also OK. I am not sure I can help with 9.3, but if so let me know what I can try for you. After checking with a virtual machine, the manjaro update removed the openssl version 1.1, and replaced it with 3.0.7.1 (I was not sure that it was my fault or not).
Regards !
And thank you @amrim, for pointing the potential problem with openssl and Manjaro, you probably saved my system :)

Hi Amrim.
I'm glad you got it working. Sorry I didn't troubleshoot it sooner -- I built my manjaro staging environment in quickemu, but found myself busy with work, into the evening, this week.
I'm concerned that openssl 1.x wasn't locked by dependencies in Manjaro; I'll try to replicate that so we don't impact other Manjaro brothers & sisters. Thanks for reporting it!
I hope you enjoy Endeavour & Paru, along with scrt 9.3.x :)

the openssl-git was fixed and when i installed it, i was able to open securecrt but in hurry i rebooted by computer
the above script also removed openssl 1.x and it made by system unbootable. did not had time to fix by using live CD and I was only around 2 weeks on Manjaro so formatted my system, installed Endeavour OS and reinstalled all my apps
❯ paru -Q | grep -E -w "openssl" openssl 3.0.7-2
~ ❯ lsb_release -a LSB Version: n/a Distributor ID: EndeavourOS Description: EndeavourOS Linux Release: rolling Codename: rolling
SecureCRT works like a charm.
Thank you ever so much kazaii!

Amrim, I'll definitely try my best to help you out.
Looks like others have brought up this concern in a thread from last year:
https://forum.manjaro.org/t/any-thoughts-on-when-is-openssl-going-to-be-updated/85275
One interesting thing I note is that I have 3 versions of openssl, one specifically is
openssl
from the core repohttps://archlinux.org/packages/core/x86_64/openssl/
It looks like it went from 1.1 to 3.0 about ~ 10 days ago. So Manjaro should get it soon.
Give me a day and I will stage this in quickemu to see if I can find a workable resolution for you. I am very happy to hear that you are a heavy user of SecureCRT; Sometimes I wonder if anyone really cares to utilize SCRT from the AUR.
To keep closer to upstream, you might want to consider giving EndeavourOS a try; However, I do understand the appeal of Manjaro.

If you can guide me that will be of great help!
I already tried to install but did not work for me.

I was a long time Ubuntu user and recently migrated to Arch and started wth Manjaro. Except Securecrt everything else works for me and I use securecrt very heavily

Hi @amrim
The same happened to me. I believe the issue is that Manjaro is likely behind in the latest OpenSSL release:
When I first built the package, the library was missing from
/usr/lib/
After I built it from the AUR, the library was there. The next day or so, the Arch repo wanted to take control of this library... so I regressed the AUR version to the repo version.
You can try three things
1) install OpenSSL3 from the AUR (looks like the package was removed.. but I'm sure you can find the PKGBUILD if you look... I have a copy in my Paru cache folder).
2) you can try to search your system for this library and copy/symlink it for now.
3) build OpenSSL3 from source.
If you still have issues, I can install a VM of Manjaro and see if I can tshoot / resolve for you.

SecureCRT: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Can someone help me as to how I can make this work. I get the above error and currently using Manjaro

Today SecureCRT 9.3.0 was released https://www.vandyke.com/products/securecrt/new-in.html
This causes some noticeable changes to the PKGBUILD. They seem to be targeting Ubuntu 22.X now. Sorry to your cpu cycles, but you'll need openssl3.0 & icu70 built.
Please let me know if you encounter any bugs with the build.
Thank you very much to the user that advised of the release today; The RSS feed was terminated in August and I did not receive the email update. I updated my subscription to ensure I get the next update notification.
Looks like I also need a new license.

Version 9.2.0 released today.
https://whatsnew.vandyke.com/2022/04/securecrt-9-2-and-securefx-9-2-official-releases-now-available/
Highlight is an exciting new feature:
Credentials Manager
A built-in Credentials Manager simplifies password management. With shared credentials, you can change a password in a single location and no longer need to manually locate and update individual sessions.
kazaii commented on 2022-02-28 15:40 (UTC)
For anyone following along, I received confirmation that the signature did change. I also received an explanation as to why, which essentially comes down to time.
I will periodically check the hash and update it, as it will be expected to drift, as the release passes a set amount of months.
