Admin access is needed to enable the sandbox for enhanced security. Choose 'Use sudo command' if you have sudo access on systems like ubuntu. Choose 'Use su command' if you have access to root account. If you don't have admin access, select 'Quit' and add the switch '--no-sandbox' to run Slimjet without sandbox (less secure).

@abd, if something isn't working you need to say what it is specifically for me to investigate it.
That being said, if something is failing to compile, it probably isn't this package but one of it's dependencies since this package is a binary.
Other than that, try running it from a terminal by typing flashpeak-slimjet

Why did it not launch as compiled perfectly?

The new MD5 for the amd64 version seems to be "fd2b45d1b88d5b1136a6302f4873bb21" → change it in the PKGBUILD if you are getting any errors!!

Many thanks raininja for keeping this great Linux Browser updated!! It is one of very few Chrome-based browsers with a default and built in Mouse-Gestures that works well on Linux (without the need for double click "workaround" to reach the browser context menu). It is also easy on computer resources. Thanks once again!

In reference to the codecs, I would think it would make sense to have it in a separate package, as an optional dependency consistent with how it is done for other browsers. For example, like Vivaldi does, https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vivaldi-ffmpeg-codecs/

Can we do something about "need to install ffmpeg on every update" described in here (https://www.slimjet.com/en/libffmpeg.php)?
Is it better to have a separate package and require it or include it in here?
dalto commented on 2020-05-16 12:35 (UTC)
It has been adopted and updated. Please let me know if there are any issues going forward.

A permanent solution to MD5 sums is to run yay as follows (I prefer yay, use the equivalent in tridzen etc): yay -S --mflags --skipinteg slimjet
