Thanks for maintaining the package :)

After the update to 17.0.5.0-1, md5 sums don’t pan out:

==> Validating source_x86_64 files with md5sums...

slimjet-17.0.5.0_amd64.deb ... FAILED

==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!

I can't flag this package out-of-date (cause it is not), nor can I install it because of checksums missmatch, error that persist from y. 2015. What to do?

haawda commented on 2017-12-31 21:48 (UTC)

This package should be renamed to slimjet-bin, as it is not compiled from sources.

Thank you for maintaining this package. It's appreciated.

@slobodan the proper method provided by archlinux is to flag the package out of date. There's no need to make disparaging comments. If you don't like the darn package, create your own. Sorry that I missed the update, browser is supposed to report it, and the other method by which the maintainer is notified is by the Flag package out of date option above. Thanks.

I don't know anything about PKGBUILD, but if it's just changing the checksums and maintainer is to lazy to do it, I'll do it for him. For raininja that is.

Thanks for the package. This browser, though based on Chromium, really is noticeably lighter on memory, and provides useful extra features. Check http://www.slimjet.com/en/libffmpeg.php to find out how to ensure MP4 videos play.

Hello, thanks for your work. When are you planning to make an update? Slimjet has a new version 14.0.5.0 (5/2/17) whith Chromium 57

There is a link to flag the package out of date, which is the proper device to alert the maintainer of issues with the package, rather than whining about free stuff that is not maintained properly
