Would you mind changing the source URL to git+https://git.linuxtv.org/edid-decode.git? The anonymous git protocol (git://) is unauthenticated and unencrypted, enabling it to be MitM'd, while Git-over-HTTPS avoids that issue.

@be1 If can be helpfully In my case for raspberry pi4 I just added 'armv7h' on PKGBUILD file (arch=...) and works.

I have an 'aarch64' ARM machine. This pkg bulds well on it. Can you add the aarch64 arch ?

run namcap edid-decode-git-r465.01e7938-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst, namcap warns that:

edid-decode-git E: Dependency gcc-libs detected and not included (libraries ['usr/lib/libgcc_s.so.1', 'usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6'] needed in files ['usr/bin/edid-decode'])

Seemd gcc-libs should be added to depends.

and another problem is about LICENSE , edid-decode.c should change to edid-decode.cpp

- sed -n '1,/^$/p' edid-decode.c | head -n -2 > "$pkgdir/usr/share/licenses/$pkgname/LICENSE"
+ sed -n '1,/^$/p' edid-decode.cpp | head -n -2 > "$pkgdir/usr/share/licenses/$pkgname/LICENSE"

Thx.

Can anyone tell me why I can not get my serial number off my laptop screen with this ?? Instead of having the serial number it says:

Manufacturer-specified data, tag 0 Checksum: 0x29 (valid) EDID block does NOT conform to EDID 1.4! Missing name descriptor Missing monitor ranges Detailed block string not properly terminated
