Hi community, I did take over maintenance for this package, since I need it for work. It's my first package here on the AUR, so please be forgiving for any mistakes.

If there is a problem with the checksums, flag the package out-of-date at the top of the page. I'll update the PKGBUILD as soon as possible.

How did you downgrade libsecret? I did:

sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/libsecret-0.20.4-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

libsecret is now 0.20.4-1 but webex is still crashing...

EDIT: Need to reinstall Webex

Can also confirm, that downgrading libsecret to 0.20.4-1 again fixes the issue. Thanks a lot!

Can confirm that downgrading libsecret brings webex back up.

I was able to get webex to launch again by downgrading libsecret to 0.20.4-1.

I have the same problem. It seems to be a dependency issue:

cat ~/.local/share/Webex/hostLogs/webexhost-libWebexAppLoader.txt

I tried to debug it further, but unfortunately without any result:

I am not an expert, but removing & reinstalling did the trick and I am working back again

yay libxcrypt-compat and then yay webex-bin

daviding commented on 2022-02-20 18:36 (UTC) (edited on 2022-02-20 18:37 (UTC) by daviding)

Confirmed similar issue:

conflicting files:

  • libxcrypt-compat: /usr/lib/libcrypt.so.1 already exists in filesystem (owned by glibc)

Checking in Pamac, I see that glibc is at version 2.33-5 .

karamba commented on 2022-02-18 09:17 (UTC)

It appears to be a manjaro related issue:

[manjaro]$ pacman -Ss glibc core/glibc 2.33-5 [installed] GNU C Library

[archlinux]$ pacman -Ss glibc core/glibc 2.35-2 [installed] GNU C Library

We should wait for the new version of glibc 2.35 in the manjaro repository.

libxcrypt-compat: /usr/lib/libcrypt.so.1 exists in filesystem (owned by glibc)
