Hi, Can the linux-headers be moved to a make-depends instead of depends? They shouldn't be required on the target system, only for build. Thanks.

@GeorgP, fixed! Thanks for the tip!

Hello. Could you add "zfs" to the provides section? There are some packages ("zfs-snap-manager" among others) that require "zfs", which was provided by "zfs-git", but is no longer provided by this package. Or is there a specific reason why this was dropped? Thanks a lot for your work!

Hello, I have a number of breaking changes to report. The archzfs-git group is dead! It has been renamed to "archzfs-linux" https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/zfs-linux/#news See the comments on this page for an explanation as to why. also, the demz-repo-core repository has been moved to https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Unofficial_user_repositories#archzfs I am waiting for AUR volunteers to merge this the archzfs-git packages into the archzfs-linux packages. Sorry for the inconvenience these changes may have caused. I don't anticipate having to do this ever again. These changes will allow me to support more non-standard kernels in the future! Thanks

Hello, To use the archzfs repository, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Unofficial_user_repositories#archzfs Please Note: These packages and repos only support x86_64 architecture. Thanks

@Ibex https://github.com/archzfs/archzfs/issues/43 So these "git" packages pull from git, but are tied to specific commit. The commits are usually the last tagged release. A few years ago the ZFSonLinux project did not have timely releases that included fixes for the latest kernel releases and the regular "zfs" packages could not be updated. So they were moved to the "zfs-git" packages so I could move the commit to where they would build successfully. Nowe that ZFSonLinux has stable releases before the new kernel comes out, we no longer have this problem. If you could rename the packages to the following it would be wonderful zfs-git -> zfs-linux zfs-utils-git -> zfs-utils-linux spl-git -> spl-linux spl-utils-git -> spl-utils-linux Thanks

Forgot to mention, the new PKGBUILDS contain ranged versioning for dependencies to hopefully remove the requirement of first having to remove the zfs packages to update when not using the archzfs repository. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/zfs-linux/

You have to excuse me @demizer, but I'm a bit confused about which package is moved/renamed to which one. If I was now using this package, do I have to change to another package to have the same content?

I have submitted requests to get these old zfs-git packages merged to new packages I have created in AUR: zfs-git -> zfs-linux zfs-utils-git -> zfs-utils-linux spl-git -> spl-linux spl-utils-git -> spl-utils-linux The new naming scheme includes the name of the kernel the package supports. I get many requests to make the package support multiple kernels from a single PKGBUILD, and this is not possible without greatly cluttering the PKGBUILD. So I have refactored the build tools to make it easier to compile PKGBUILDS for arbitrary kernels easily enough. ALso, these packages will track upstream stable releases. I hae added new packages that build using the latest revision from git. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/zfs-linux-git/
